Interactive entries totalled 455 with the Jury shortlisting 80.
Entries into TV/Cinema reached 656 with 60 making the shortlist.
66 industry leaders from 20 European countries are currently in Amsterdam judging the 4020 entries received this year. Attending delegates can enjoy viewing the Eurobest 2009 Print, Outdoor, Direct, Sales Promotion, Media and Design exhibitions as well as the shortlisted Radio, Interactive and TV/Cinema entries on interactive kiosks. Also available to view is the ACT Responsible exhibition featuring the best ads from around the world on the issue of climate change and some of Guinness’s iconic ads through the years in anticipation of them collecting their Advertiser of the Year award.
Yesterday’s busy programme rounded off with delegates enjoying seminars from Wieden+Kennedy, Amsterdam Worldwide, a workshop hosted by some of Sweden’s top creative producers and a music-video showcase by BUG’s Adam Buxton. This morning’s programme included a lively debate by Naked Communications on the origin of ideas; cousins Mark Tutssel, Chief Creative Officer of Leo Burnett Worldwide and Glenn Tutssel, Executive Creative Director of The Brand Union talking about their careers and ambitions for their respective companies; and a workshop by Hyper Island on how the next generation of leading creatives will shape the industry.
With a busy afternoon to look forward to with more seminars and workshops and this evening’s Networking After Dark, delegates have another full day ahead of them.
